Governance Defined

Oxford-231x300

Governance¬†refers to “all processes of governing, whether undertaken by a government, market or network, whether over a family, tribe, formal or informal organization or territory and whether through laws, norms, power or language.”

The word derives from the Greek to steer and was used for the first time in a metaphorical sense by Plato.

Therefore, a key theme when discussing governance is examining where and how to steer society towards the best future.
